Attah Sisters Helping Hand Foundation (ASHH FOUNDATION) is a non-governmental organization working towards reducing gender based violence, empowering women and girls, provision of psychosocial and rehabilitation support to traumatized survivors, litigation, medical support, Bully Management, Peace building and Conflict resolution in Bauchi State, North East Nigeria.

ASHH FOUNDATION Institute is inviting interested persons to participate in an online bully management course aimed to equipped participants with knowledge to manage and reduce bully, prejudice and support to children to help them gain self confidence, self-esteem; making their environment a positive place to learn and grow. Bully is one of the grassroot cause of gender based violence when not properly managed; Understanding prejudice and managing bully will make our society a safe space for all.

ASHH FOUNDATION Instituted in the last 2 years has trained and graduated 135 teachers and currently training 100 more teachers that will volunteer to teach children about Bully and Prejudice in schools.

The online course will be for 5 weeks, 1hr weekly

Telegram and Whatsapp will be the major platform for communication

Job 1:

Job Title: Project Officer

Location: Bauchi State   |   Contract Duration: 9 months

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage and facilitate flow of essential information among project team members
  • Manage, supervise and control the project cycle
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to the organization of meetings, workshops, events, etc.
  • Participating in field missions including the provisions of substantive and administrative support, data collection, etc.
  • Budget Tracking and monitoring
  • Performing other duties as required

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years of project/program management, administration or related area in governmental organizations
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Public Administration or relevant field/equivalent
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress
  • High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Ability to communicate adequately
  • Speaks and writes clearly and effectively, interacts appropriately with stakeholders

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Bauchi State   |   Contract Duration: 9 months

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Guide the process for identifying and designing the key indicators for each component, to record and report progress.
  • Guide the process for identifying the key performance questions and parameters for monitoring activities performance and comparing it to target design the format for such performance reports.
  • Review monitoring reports: analyze them for impact evaluation and to identify the cause of potentials bottlenecks
  • Prepare reports on M&E findings, as required, working closely with the organization staff and partners
  • Undertake regular visit to the field to support implementation of M&E and to identify where adaptations might be needed
  • Guide the regular sharing of the outputs of M&E findings with management.

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years proven working experience in supporting M&E related tasks and activities such as data collection, monitoring and evaluation
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in relevant field
  • Other relevant professional certificates obtained
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Knowledge of ICT technologies (MS Office, email, Data collection etc)
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Ability to communicate adequately with interdisciplinary teams
  • Personal integrity and accountability
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress

CALL FOR PROPOSAL

Attah Sisters Helping Hand Foundation (ASHH FOUNDATION) is a non-governmental organization in Bauchi State Nigeria working in the areas of Women’s Rights, Women Empowerment, Education, Peacebuilding and Conflict resolution.

ASHH Foundation Institute is implementing a Bullying and Peace Building Program designed to train and equip Trainers with knowledge and skill on Bully and Peace Building in other to train Pupils/Students in schools. Bully is causing emotional harm to children in our society, this program aims to reduce school bullying and victimization, promote strategies to support victims, support children’s self-efficacy to use those strategies and to improve peer relations and make schools safe and positive places for students to learn and develop themselves.

We are calling on CSOs/NGOs/CBOs within Bauchi State to send in their proposal/concept note on how they will address this issue this problem with a soft budget of between N100,000 – N500,000.

Organizations are expected to:

  1. Establish 3 Peace Clubs in 3 different Schools
  2. Train 15 Trainers within 3 months
  3. Conduct training sessions will be conducted in ASHH FOUNDATION Institute
  4. Teach in Hausa or English completely (if you are teaching Hausa, the teaching should only be in Hausa, if English, then only English should be used)
  5. Send 3 minutes video of training sessions during reporting

2023 FRESH ENROLLMENT INTO ASHHF BULLYING AND PEACE BUILDING PROGRAM

Attah Sisters Helping Hand Foundation (ASHH FOUNDATION) is a non-governmental organization in Bauchi State Nigeria working in the areas of Women’s Rights, Women Empowerment, Education, Peacebuilding and Conflict resolution.

ASHH Foundation Institute is executing a Training Program on Bullying and Peace Building for Trainers to reduce school bullying and victimization. The central aims of the program are to: Raise awareness of the role that a group plays in maintaining bullying. Increase empathy toward victims. Promote strategies to support the victim and to support children’s self-efficacy to use those strategies. The program designed to improve peer relations and make schools safer, more positive places for children to learn and develop.

This course is to train Trainers that will teach children in schools on bullying and peace building

Course Duration:

  1. 3 Months
  2. 6 Months

Participants Requirements

  1. Willing to commit 8hrs weekly
  2. Must be within Bauchi State – North East Nigeria
  3. Participants will be attending classes in our Training Institute located in Bauchi State.
