Positions: Project Coordinator, Program Officer, M&E, Finance and Communication Officers

Location: Bauchi State

Introduction

Attah Sister’s Helping Hand Foundation (ASHH FOUNDATION) is a non-governmental organization established in 2007 and legally registered in 2010 with CAC, aimed at assisting the less privileged women and children in the areas of health, economic empowerment, Girl child education, women’s rights, peace and conflict resolution.

Intervention Areas

ASHH FOUNDATION is working in Bauchi State and currently carrying out intervention under the WVL-N Project with support from ActionAid Nigeria and funding from Global Affairs Canada, intervening on matters relating to Women empowerment, Sexual and Gender Based Violence, peace building and conflict resolution across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi State.

ASHH FOUNDATION is also managing 6 CBOs under the under the WVL-N Project with support from ActionAid Nigeria and funding from Global Affairs Canada. The 6 CBOs are working in 2 different communities each in 6 LGAs of Bauchi State.

ASHH FOUNDATION is inviting application from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the following positions:

Job 1:

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Bauchi State                            |                      Contract Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Supervise all project staff and activities
  • Working with stakeholders to facilitate the formation, development, implementation and evaluation of all project related activities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing program implementation and reviewing relevant documents and reports
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to the organization of meetings, workshops, events, etc.
  • Participating in field missions including the provisions of substantive and administrative support, data collection, etc.
  • Performing other duties as required

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years of project/program management, administration or related area in governmental organizations
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Public Administration or relevant field/equivalent
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress
  • High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Ability to communicate adequately
  • Speaks and writes clearly and effectively, interacts appropriately with stakeholders
  • Personal integrity and accountability
  • Demonstrate high level of patience
  • Willingness to travel across Nigeria

Job 2:

Job Title: Project Officer

Location: Bauchi State                            |                      Contract Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop and manage budget for the project
  • Manage and facilitate flow of essential information among project team members
  • Manage, supervise and control the project cycle
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to the organization of meetings, workshops, events, etc.
  • Participating in field missions including the provisions of substantive and administrative support, data collection, etc.
  • Performing other duties as required

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years of project/program management, administration or related area in governmental organizations
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Public Administration or relevant field/equivalent

Job No. 3

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Bauchi State                            |                      Contract Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Guide the process for identifying and designing the key indicators for each component, to record and report progress.
  • Guide the process for identifying the key performance questions and parameters for monitoring activities performance and comparing it to target design the format for such performance reports.
  • Review monitoring reports: analyze them for impact evaluation and to identify the cause of potentials bottlenecks
  • Prepare reports on M&E findings, as required, working closely with the organization staff and partners
  • Undertake regular visit to the field to support implementation of M&E and to identify where adaptations might be needed
  • Guide the regular sharing of the outputs of M&E findings with management.

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years proven working experience in supporting M&E related tasks and activities such as data collection, monitoring and evaluation
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in relevant field
  • Other relevant professional certificates obtained
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Knowledge of ICT technologies (MS Office, email, Data collection etc)
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Ability to communicate adequately with interdisciplinary teams
  • Personal integrity and accountability
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress
  • Demonstrate high level of patience

Job 4:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Bauchi State                            |                      Contract Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Ensure project spending is in line with approved budget
  • Monitor project spending timely
  • Budget tracking and monitoring
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual donor financial and other relevant reports as required with adequate variance explanations for appropriate internal review and onward submission to donors
  • Provide variance analysis and justifications monthly in coordination with project and operations teams
  • Work with partners; develop their capacity on budgeting, financial management, internal controls, reporting and execution of audit actions.
  • Support in enforcing donor policies and procedures across all projects.
  • Carry out any other assigned tasks

Required Qualification:

  • 5+ years proven working experience in Finance and Grants Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Knowledge of ICT technologies (MS Excel, email, Data collection etc)
  • Excellent skill in donor budget preparation and reporting
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Ability to communicate adequately with interdisciplinary teams
  • Personal integrity and accountability
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress
  • Demonstrate high level of patience

Job No. 5

Job Title: Communication Officer

Location: Bauchi State                                        |                      Contract Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop and implement innovative and effective communication and media strategies
  • Coordinate and act as the central communications point for national media activities
  • Oversee production of digital and multimedia communications content in line with ASHH FOUNDATION and donor guideline
  • Develop a social media plan for the assigned area which leverages social media content, platforms, networks and partners to enhance coverage
  • Monitoring all social media activities and provide timely feedback to management

Required Qualification:

  • 3+ years proven working experience in communication and reporting
  • Strong oral, written and communication skill
  • Professional certificate in the field of communications
  • Knowledge of ICT technologies (MS Office, social media, email etc)
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively to critical feedback and differing points of view
  • Strong Innovative skill
  • Ability to work under duress
  • Demonstrate high level of patience
  • Ability to communicate adequately with interdisciplinary teams
