Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigerian Project – ActionAid Nigeria

Women’s Voice and Leadership Project is a 5-year project funded by Global Affairs Canada, subgranted by ActionAid Nigeria.The project is aimed at tackling the barriers to Gender Based Violence (GBV) and supporting the empowerment of women and girls through provision of financial and technical resources to Local Women’s Rights Organisations in Nigeria. This intervention is designed to respond to the challenges faced by these organisations in their efforts to eliminate discrimination and rights violations in policy and legislation and the provision of services, as well as harmful social beliefs and practices. ASHH FOUNDATION has demonstrated capability in the implementation of this project for the past 3 years now, a lot of successes has been recorded by ASHH FOUNDATION on the areas of reducing Gender Based Violence in Bauchi State with over 189 reported cases which each were supported via medical, pychosocial, palliatives and legal support. Capacity Building for Local Women’s Right Organizations: Resourcing Change – Women for Women International

This is a 6 months flexible funding project (with a 3 months costed extension from donor) that aims to build the capacity of LWROs in Nigeria. LWROs were given privilege to utilize the funds available for any intervention of their choice and at the same time building their programming and project management capacity. This flexible funding led to a huge development and productivity of ASHH FOUNDATION when it comes to project delivery and intervention. Community Mobilization and strengthening the network of young women on Leadership and ending Violence Against Women and Girls – Nigerian Women Trust Fund

The NWTF Project is a 6 month (December 2021 – May 2022) project that aims to increase the representation of women in Nigerian Governance at all levels and to address the growing concerns about the Gender imbalance in elective and appointive positions. The objective of the project is to mobilize community stakeholders, young women leader’s network, women groups and community based organization’s to stand against leadership in-equality and violence against women and girls in Ganjuwa and Bauchi LGAs of Bauchi State.
